The 2019 North Canterbury Netball season commenced last Saturday with the weather ‘playing ball’, what a fantastic warm day it was. Good luck from Lockbox Storage to all competing teams and may the great weather continue.

The 2019 pre-season tournament was recently held at Rangiora’s Dudley Courts attracting teams from the Selwyn District and Christchurch.
A bit cold but a great time was still had by those teams and their supporters who attended.

Lockbox Storage are proud to support the local North Canterbury community and in particular the North Canterbury Athletic Club providing them with new signage for their equipment storage container.
The 7-14yr Children’s section of the North Canterbury Athletic Club have recently returned from Dunedin where they successfully competed over 3 days at the South Island Colgate Games.
21 children competed including 3 children under the age of 10yrs. 16 medals were won from the eighteen 10-14 yr olds who were eligible for medals.

Captain Jan Becker is the founder of Midwife Vision, a charity organisation set up to save the lives of mothers and babies in impoverished countries during child birth. Jan and her daughter Chase, 4 times a year travel to Dar Es Salaam Hospital in Tanzania where the survival rates and conditions have dramatically improved.
Jan requested Alan and Joan Orchard of Rangiora, on Midwife Visions behalf, to find storage for the thousands of items of knitting and sewing given by “The Rangiora Knitters” as they are known – men and women aged 9yrs to 92yrs. These people from Kaikoura to Wigram knit beanies, booties, fish and chip tops, rugs, cocoons as well as sew cocoons and bags for the mothers.
Mary Busch one of the main organisers, along with Alan and Joan are often on site at LockBox Storage sorting and packing cartons for shipment to Tanzania. Joan said “ we couldn’t do without the facilities LockBox Storage” provides.

While the winter sports codes have had their final presentations, our support for local junior netball continues. We are committed to 2019 already. Sitting on a mantel piece is the new trophy presented to Ashgrove FF1 for becoming the winners of the LockBox Storage Trophy for the Most Goals scored by a Future Ferns netball team for 2018.

We needed to store a lot of house clutter prior to putting our Christchurch house on the market, and as our new house was being built in Rangiora, we decided that using a storage facility near Rangiora would be best. After looking at a few options, we visited The Lockbox, had a chat with Denise, and looked at the different sizes of storage units. The whole facility is clean and bright, the internal driveways are in good condition, and the units are dry, well constructed and secure. After deciding what size unit we needed, we signed up for one on the spot with the very efficient Denise, and have been extremely satisfied with it. Entry to the compound is easy via keypad at the main gate, and we had no issues coming and going during the months we rented the unit. Denise is on site in the mornings, and always had a smile and a wave. We would wholeheartedly recommend LockBox for your storage needs.
